Manna Ash House is a short walk from the cultural delights of the South Bank, including some of the UK's best theatres, concert halls and art galleries, and not far from London's West End. Transport links are within easy reach including the International rail station at Waterloo.

For the safety and security of residents Manna Ash House has an entry card system, 24-hour security staff and CCTV cameras in and around the building.

Facilities include a common room with TV and vending machines. For added convenience there are on-site launderette and bike storage facilities.

Since 1st July 2007 all of our residences operate a No Smoking policy throughout the buildings in line with the new UK Government legistlation.

Shared Facilities

Rooms are arranged in cluster flats of six or seven bedrooms. Each flat is self-contained and only the residents sharing the flat have an entry key. Within the flat is a shared kitchen and dining area which is fully fitted with two cookers, two fridges, two sinks, a microwave oven and a freezer.

Ample storage space is provided and each resident has their own lockable food storage cupboard. The kitchen and communal corridor are cleaned on a weekly basis. A vacuum cleaner is provided so residents can clean their own rooms.

Residents have an individual key to their room. The rooms are study bedrooms, each with its own en-suite shower, toilet and basin. A bed, desk, chair, bookcase, wardrobe and drawers are provided and there are electrical sockets for residents to use their own computer, reading lamp, radio etc. There is also a telephone and an internet point for a broadband internet service which is provided by Keycom. Bed linen is not supplied but is available for purchase at the residence office.

The rooms vary slightly in size and shape but are generally around 4 metres by 2.5 metres. The windows are approximately 1.4 metres by 80 centimeters. The bed and mattress provided are a standard single size of 2 metres by 90 centimeters.

In addition to the single rooms there are 5 studio rooms which are self-contained with own bathroom and kitchen facilities. An additional studio room with TV and DVD is available to rent for guests on a nightly basis.

Manna Ash House is just south of the river Thames and within walking distance of the Tate Modern, Hayward Gallery, Royal Festival Hall and the Globe Theatre. The London Eye is also at nearby Waterloo and can be seen from some of the rooms and kitchens in Manna Ash House.

The nearest underground station to Manna Ash House is Southwark . The main University of Arts, London campus is just four stops on the Jubilee line and mainline stations Waterloo and London Bridge are only one stop away. Waterloo International is also within walking distance and with the Eurostar service it is the gateway to Paris and other European cities. The London College of printing is a few minutes walk away at the Elephant and Castle.

Heating: There are electrical heaters in each study bedroom and storage heating in communal areas. Heating is included in the rent.

Hot water: A central boiler provides hot water throughout the building. This is included in the rent.

Laundry: A communal self-service laundry is provided with washing machines and dryers.

Vending Machines: Snacks and cold drinks

Things to bring with you: bedding(duvet, sheets, pillows),television, kettle, kitchen equipment (pots, pans, plates, cutlery) computer, towels.

Insurance: A block halls insurance cover is provided by Cover4Students.com. This is included in the rent price. Additional cover is also available for a separate fee.
